Casting aluminum alloy is mainly used to manufacture various complex shaped parts
Casting aluminum alloy is mainly used to manufacture various complex shaped parts and is widely used in the aviation and civil industries. In the aviation industry, cast aluminum alloys are used to manufacture components such as beams, turbine blades, pump bodies, hangers, wheel hubs, intake lips, and engine casings. In civilian industry, cast aluminum alloy is used to manufacture parts such as cylinder heads, transmissions, and pistons for automobiles, as well as casings for instruments and pump bodies for superchargers.
Cast aluminum alloys have low density, high specific strength, good corrosion resistance, and casting processability, which make them less restricted in the design of component structures. According to the different alloying elements, cast aluminum alloys can be divided into Al Si, Al Si Mg Cu, Al Cu, Al Mg, and Al Re types, which are suitable for different strength and special performance requirements. Most cast aluminum alloys require heat treatment to strengthen the alloy, eliminate internal stresses in castings, and stabilize the structure and part dimensions.
